I’m Demi, a 4th-year computer science student specialising in the intersection of music theory, software engineering, human-computer interaction and data science. I’m also a pianist and a composer.
I like to help others, and writing is my way of sharing my knowledge with others.
The Techie Journal is my place to share everything I’m learning about technology. From completing dissertations to discussing spicy tech news, I’m interested in the tech world as a whole.
- It started with me sharing actionable advice for computer science students under the Twitter handle, Demi The Techie.
- Eventually, I moved to writing more long-form posts on Medium and started a newsletter on Substack as well.
- Now, I’ve moved away from Demi The Techie and decided to focus on merging that with The Techie Journal and making this the official home for all things tech-related.
The Techie Journal resides here and it has a Substack that you’re welcome to join. It’s written towards beginner techies and individuals who want to learn more about the foundations of technology. It’s not very coding-heavy at this stage, but that might be something I explore later.
